For the past two days Amelia has been referring to all of us as "Bunnies." I am Mommy Bunny, Andy is Daddy Bunny, and August is Baby Bunny (or Brother Bunny or Little Bunny). She just decided yesterday afternoon that this is the way it was going to be. And, because her mind is a steel trap, she woke up this morning and went right back to the game. Although - at times this morning we have been a little more formal and we are sometimes Rabbit Mommy and Rabbit Daddy.
We think this came from the book we read the other night about a Mommy Bunny and her little Baby Bunny - but she also loves the show Max and Ruby - which is about bunnies. Who knows - I just love her imagination.
In other news - the move is complete and we are just doing the final placement of things (except for the office which is a whole different story). Amelia has handled the move pretty well for a 2 1/2 year old. These past few days have been a little trying because she is throwing fits and needing A LOT of attention and she just loves the word "NO!" But we are putting our feet down and I think it will run its course. Now I just need to find her a few little friends to run around with :)
August is ON THE MOVE! He is fast and he is into everything :) He does a little inchworm-type crawl, but it is effective. The only problem is that he LOVES Amelia's favorite toys - her Mickey Mouse and her Cupcake set. This makes for some tension and some great lessons on sharing our toys. Interesting to say the least.
